Diesel and the Bean Stalk

I love Sunday. I get to take my dogs on a long walk. I take different dogs on the weekend so each of them get to run and explore. I took Diesel, Bella and 5 puppies on a walk. We usually put in a couple of miles. Diesel (German Shep) and Bella (Airedale) and Bob's pup Raven and were walking and all the sudden they stop and turn around and dove in the beans! Diesel started barking and then I could smell the problem! BADGER, Bob had turned around to go back home (belly problems). I thought holly SH*** here I am with five 14 week old puppies and they think they are big dogs. I could see Bob at the end of the road, so I started yelled and yelled!! He could not hear me (selective hearing). Back in the beans the fight was on. The beans were above my waist. I had tennis shoes on and I really did not want to get bit. I could hear the dogs fighting and I know the big dogs could hold their own but not the pup that was in there thinking she could whip this Badger. I finally get an eye on Raven (little pup) and I garbed her. She wanted nothing to do with me, she fought and barked almost gave me a concussion lol. So I let her down, I was trying to keep the rest of the pups off. Then I heard the boys going down the road on the 4-wheelers. I jumped up and down hoping they would come to my rescue. Thank goodness they seen me. Brett and Dustin and one of their buddies came to see what I needed. I told Brett to go get his Dad and hurry we had a Badger and all these little pups. Bob showed up with Ed, he is our male Patterdale. The fight did not last long. Ed got the badger out in the open so we could get the dogs back and move on! You just never know what you will run into in the country.

HaPpY BiRtHdAy BrEtT

Today Brett turned 14. He wanted to know if the drivers licence office was open today. I can remember at this age that driving was all I wanted to do. I guess some things never change. Brett is such a good kid, I really enjoy when he is at our house. I can remember when I first moved here he was a little quite skinny kid. He has blossomed so much in the last five years. He is almost as tall as his dad and very strong. He is always outside with us and enjoys riding his 4-wheeler. Bob and I gave him a wench for his 4-wheeler for his b-day. I'm sure he will be trying it out by the end of the day. I know that I'm so lucky to him a step son that is lots of fun to hang with and makes me laugh!! Thanks Brett for taking your old step mom in!!! Love ya lots

Happy Birthday Bob

Today is my hubby's birthday, he is 45! I was going to get a card but, it is so hard to find a card that tells every thing you want to say. First, thank you Bob for being such a wonderful husband! Thank you for putting up with me and ALL my dogs. Thank you for being such a wonderful step father to my children. Thank you for teaching me how to call coyotes ( yes, you are the better shot). I will never forget the first time you took me out to call. I was shaking and could feel my heart pounding in my chest. Then I saw the coyote coming down the cattle trail and you were so calm. When you said "shoot" and I shot, I could not believe my eyes! I jumped up and down, as Bob would say," dry humped him" ( yes, I do remember that). Thanks for teaching me how to catch fish. I have liked to fish all my life but really never caught any thing! Thanks for teaching me how to change my oil in my truck. How to get un-stuck in the snow ( sorry about that transmission). Thanks for all the beautiful motorcycle rides. The wonderful wedding in Sturgis (loved the umbrella we were under, sorry for laughing). Thanks for taking me bird hunting. I really enjoy when we get to hunt the terriers! We make a great team! I could continue to list several different things that you have taught me but the one thing that sticks out the most is what it means to love someone with all your heart and soul ! You are my soul mate and I look forward to many more birthdays with you!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

The Twisted Apple ( The tattoo place)

Friday I took a half day off to run some
errands. I have been wanting to get a tattoo in memory of my Kacie. She has been gone for 10 years and I wanted some thing special to remember her by. I have made 2 trips to get the tattoo and every time I went they were busy. So I decided one last time to stop! Here is the end result. I love it!! I told the guy my story about Kacie and how I did not want the wings to be the same. He laughed and said not many people want their tattoo not to match. Kacie was different, so I wanted the wings to be different. I really worried what people would think about me and having a tattoo that is so visual. I thought long and hard about getting it on my wrist. I know that it is there forever. That was my deciding factor. Forever!!! She will be with me forever and all I have to do is look at my wrist and that will bring a smile to my face.

Shorty Bulls

One of the dogs pulling

The New pup Anne

Had a great time this weekend. Bob and I went to Marysville to visit a friend that has the same hunting terriers we have. Jess got two pups from us. One last year and one about a month ago. When we got to Jess's house there was a dog there that I did not recognize. Holy cow, it was Lola the pup he got last year from us. She looked like a weight lifter!! I could not believe my eyes. She looked really good. I told Bob before we left NOT to let me get a pup (Jess has pups) and well this little cute thing came up to me and I melted! Yes, a little female patterdale Annie. I guess I could spend my money (she was free) on other things but these dogs make me tick!!! Jess wanted us to meet a lady that has Shorty Bulls. I must say I have never seen one before and they were not my kind of dog but they were cute. Jamie ( the bulldog lady) and I hit it off right from the get go. She loves dogs and I love dogs. Jamie told us that they were having a dog pulling contest to raise money for a guy that was hurt in a motor cycle accident. I was like a little kid in a candy store. Some thing NEW and some thing I have never seen. I was in. Bob looked at me like ok what ever makes you happy ( he gives me this look quite often). These dogs were incredible, they weighted any where from 30 lbs to 110 lbs. They could pull as much as 3 tons. That's a lot of weight. Wish I could have brought some of my dog's and put a little money in the pot! I really enjoyed my Saturday with Bob and all the dogs.

Very Nice Summer

So sorry for not posting! It has just been crazy. With Bob's eye and the new shop and no school for the kids, life has been crazy. We had a new litter a puppies a few months back. They are so much fun!! Ashley has worked all summer and gone to the lake to swim and hang out with boys. Dustin has rode his bike all over town and has been to the lake and pool to swim and check out the girls. Brett had swim team and did very well with it. He also has rode his bike all over and did lots of swimming at the lake and pool. I'm so ready for school to start (not much longer) Roberta has taught me to crochet and I'm really enjoying it. We have only got to ride out motor cycles a few times this year. Bob just does not see well enough to ride more. The good news is the cancer is shrinking and we hope his vision comes back!! We just had our 5 year anniversary and I look forward to lots more. Oh, I almost forgot I got to set lines with Ryan & Madelyn this summer and it was a BLAST!! Sorry about the net Ryan.
