My first 5K Race

Today I got to mark something off my bucket list. Went to the Susan Komen Race for the Cure this morning  with both of my sister in laws and ran for my mom who is a breast cancer survivor. I really did not know what to expect, and I was shocked to find out there were over 10,000 people in the race!!!  The two things that stick out in my mind are the people standing on the side lines yelling encouragement, and the people with disabilities running. It humbles me to see people who nerve give up when the world has given up on them. Thanks to both of my sis in laws for all the encouragement. Love you both

It was an awesome day! Thanks to you guys for letting me tag along! I would have never started this running program without you guys. Setting this goal kept me motivated!

When the gentleman in the wheelchair passed me about half-way through the race, I got all teary. I was so happy for him. He kicked butt!
